Fees for Representation

Every legal matter is different so the cost of representation is different depending on the individual facts of each case. The only flat fee that does not vary, as outlined below, are the fees for bankruptcy. The fees listed below are estimated costs of representation. The determination of the exact fees involved for your case will depend on facts involved in your case. This exact retainer amount will be determined once you speak with one of our attorneys during your free initial consultation. Additionally, your lawyer will speak with you in person to discuss payment plans for your case.

Family Law:

• Separation/ Property Settlement Agreement: $400.00 - $700.00
• Uncontested/ No-Fault Divorce: $800.00 flat fee plus $84.00 Court filing fee. The attorney fee may be paid in 2 installments of $400.00
• Custody/ Visitation/ Support Case in the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court: Retainers start at $1,500.00 - $2,500.00 depending on the case
• Contested Divorce: these cases widely vary so we can only provide to you the fees involved once you speak with an attorney

Personal Injury:

• Our attorney fee is 33% of the amount recovered by settlement. Once filed attorney fee is 40%

Nursing Home Negligence/ Medical Malpractice:

• Our attorney fee is 45% of the amount recovered by settlement or jury verdict. The reason our fee is more than a basic personal injury is based on the fact that our firm may advance the fees for experts. The expert fees can exceed several thousands of dollars.

Criminal Defense:

• Misdemeanors/ Traffic Offenses: $500.00 - $1,500.00
• Felonies: Our fees widely vary depending on the charges and the facts of your case. Once you speak with an attorney at your free initial consult, we can discuss the retainer fee and payment plans.

Bankruptcy:

• Chapter 7:
  • Individual Filing: $1049.00 + $306.00 Court Filing Fee
  • Additional Fees Prior to Filing:
    Obtain Credit Report: $30.00 ($50.00 if joint filing) (Not required if you obtain credit reports from all 3 credit reporting agencies within past 30 days)
    Court Required Financial Management Course: $15.00 (per debtor) Credit Counseling Course: $25.00
    Subject to Garnishment (if applicable): $250.00
    Rush Job (File within 5 Business Days): $250.00
  • Business owners and rare circumstances require additional attorney fee depending on case

• Chapter 13:
  • $500.00 - $1,000.00 initial attorney fee depending on your case
    $281.00 Court Filing Fee
  • Additional Fees Prior to Filing:
    Obtain Credit Report: $30.00 ($50.00 if joint filing) (Not required if you obtain credit reports from all 3 credit reporting agencies within past 30 days)
